WASHINGTON Republicans in the Pennsylvania state legislature on Tuesday said they would take extraordinary measures to find out whether the election in their state was fair, despite having no evidence of any wrongdoing.
State Rep. Dawn Keefer, a Republican from York County, announced that Republicans in the state legislature would move to conduct an audit of the election, and that the state should not certify the election results, or select electors to the Electoral College, until it is completed.
The General Assembly needs to take extraordinary measures to answer these extraordinary questions, Keefer said while speaking in front of a group of a dozen or so House Republicans.
But Keefer admitted that she and the Pennsylvania GOP do not have anything more than questions. There is no evidence of anything resembling coordinated cheating in the election.
We've just gotten a lot of allegations, Keefer said, referring to what she said was a flurry of calls and e-mails from voters who are concerned and outraged by the circumstances surrounding this election.
Of course, the only circumstances that would lead any voter to believe there might have been cheating has been the evidence-free complaints from President Trump that such cheating did occur, and that Democrats are trying to cheat.

The media is so clueless that they have no idea about this, but it will become clear soon that we’re at the point where the legislatures of MI, AZ, GA, and PA could take the presidency for Trump. Trump and his people will start agitating for that, and we’re starting to see the legislatures agitate for it. The next president really rests in their hands and there’s an ever-growing basis for them to do it.
Once this becomes clear to the media and leftists — it’s not yet — this has the potential to completely blow up.
We’re really at an unprecedented point in our history here.
MrsMyth go f yourself.
Someone is about to get a lesson in Constitutional law.
The media is very aware of that possibility and is working hard already to demean that Constitutional process.
Still, it will take PROOF for any state Legislature to take that step.
The Governor does not select the Electors. That is ultimately up to the state legislators.
Can you show me where in US Constitution art II "proof" is necessary? I'll wait.
Let me return the favor. And I'll do it without yelling.
Current Pennsylvania law says the candidate's party will appoint electors, not the legislature, and that such electors will be elected by the voters of the Commonwealth. The Pennsylvania legislature can change that, but I would think that would require a law doing so be passed and be signed by the governor. Even if that were to happen, changing the rules after the election would never make it through the courts.
In every way.
lol “Yahoo News”.
This genius subscribes to the “Trust but Don’t Verify” school of journalism. It’s like we’re living in the Soviet Union.
The legal votes of their constituents went, by perhaps 700,000 statewide, to President Trump. How would they be committing suicide ratifying the election of the winner based on LEGITIMATE votes ? If Plugs the Pedo had actually won the state, there would be a DEMONRAT majority taking office. The GOP holds considerable majorities there, in spite of the Demonrat fraud. In fact, Mrs. Smith, their failure to fulfill their Constitutional duties and NOT send the Republican Trump Electors to D.C. would be committing political suicide.
The state legislate can throw out the election results and in the case of PA select 20 electors of their own choosing and it will stand up to any legal attack.
I won’t raise my voice either but the “elected by the voters of the Commonwealth” part includes, inherently, “according to the election laws we pass.”
That violates the U.S. Constitution on its face. No state law can supersede the Constitution.
No, he selects them by the laws the Legislature prescribed.
If he doesn’t, then we have Pennsylvania...
No disagreement on that. But passing a law changing the way electors are allocated after the election is passed? Even if the governor would sign it I don't see how it would make it past the legal challenges.
Can they?
Pushed by a Satanic & Stalinazi party that doesn't feel the rule of law or Constitution applies to them and their power grab. If we - patriotic Americans - don't stop this right here and right now, we will never have another honest election again. We know the next step when things won't be allowed to be decided at the ballot box.
That is good to know.
I posted Art. f’ing II. Read it. You are acting like a GD idiot - again.
There’s lots of evidence that Pa’s Executive Branch did not conduct the election count as per the law.
That needs to go to court to be cross-examined and otherwise put to the test.
If the claims stand that test they become, IMHO, PROOF.
Which the Members of the state Legislator can/will take a stand on.
