In Texas, we have the same problem election after election where the Democrats get with RINOs and get the house speaker they want in a state where Republicans dominate the legislature.
Why can’t all Republicans get with 10-20 conservative democrats and get a conservative Democrat speaker?

Why is it a crock? In a closely divided house it looks like 6-8 members of the majority can dictate who will be speaker. Tiny majority= less leverage because they can always threaten to flip. It’s a slim chance but McCarthy could be elected speaker if he can flip a handful. Willie Brown did this to remain speaker of the California Assembly when the GOP took the majority in 1994. California polliticians remember .

We don’t need a GOP speaker we just need to get rid of Pelousy. It will be the ultimate punishment for her pushing fake impeachment on PDJT. Her replacement is far more likely to be a weak figurehead (just like Beijing Biden) and the Dems Silicon Valley dark money pipeline will take a hit.

It appears that Trump on the ballot GOTV for GOP in solid blue states and that helped these down ballot races. I see this as 100% Trump.

McCarthy is just trolling here. 10 Dems voting against Pelosi in this Congress has no meaning in the next Congress.
Although it could be the opposite. Maybe McCarthy is making a deal with the AOC crowd. I would do the same thing just to troll a lot of corporate/Lincoln Project stooges and create a huge contrast.

Many of those races are not all that close, and many of them are GOP holds.
GOP +12 or maybe +13, ultimately, which makes the margin in the House very narrow, albeit still Democrat controlled. We needed like five more seats.
I think her voice would be the very least of our worries..
