Are you saying that if those persons, now residing at The Fedralist publication, were to start a Party called The Federalist Party so that disillusioned Rs could join, it wouldn’t work?
Leaving the Republican party would be easy for me, despite the long history. I would WELCOME a new party, new ideas, new yet traditional culture...

There already are a number of conservative political parties which might suit you, including Conservatives and Libertarians.
Feel free to join those & enjoy your time with them.
The Republican party has always been a Big Tent including true believers, "moderates" and seeming RINO's.
Some are committed to Republican ideals, others just want to "go along to get along" with Democrats.
That's why leadership is so important and leaders like Donald Trump make such a big difference.
I think we're always better off to unite behind a great leader like Trump than to spin-off into various minor splinter parties.
Such 3rd, 4th & 5th parties can only guarantee permanent Democrat majorities.

Nothing I've ever seen suggests Donald Trump is a "wimp" who does not deserve our respect.
And loyalty to Trump is still well above 90% amongst Republicans.
I see no reason to change that.

The Republican Party is Donald Trump’s Party, we are kicking the RINOs out.
They are far from irrelevant.
East Germany allowed other parties, there was even an East German CDU. All parties, though, had to accept the "leading role" of the Socialist Unity Party, meaning, they had to support all important elements of the Party program, especially the constant interference and spying to root out potential wrongthink, which all parties did, enthusiastically.
We are not becoming Venezuela.
We are becoming East Germany, and the Lincoln Project GOP is going to fit right in.
I'm afraid the plans to subtract us are already well underway.

I can't imagine what you think you know, but Trump has said nothing publicly about a third party.
The last major Republican who tried that was Teddy Roosevelt in 1912 and it elected Democrat Woodrow Wilson President.

I predict that if Trump cannot prevail in Court this year he'll run again in 2024, and win, as a Republican.
Well the Lincoln Project and other republican anti Trump pacs spent a couple hundred million in non-stop anti-Trump ads in Florida. That didn’t work out so well for them, did it.
The Lincoln Project thought they would get the GOP back if Trump lost.
Regardless of what plays out, Trump’s hold over the GOP has only increased.
Exactly. It’s Trump’s party. Not Romneys or Flakes or Jebs. They will lose by a landslide in 2024 if they put up one of those rino candidates
We have to make sure that never happens, but primaring out anyone not loyal to Trump.
YES! First we win this battle, then find good candidates to take out the rest of the uniparty.
If never-trumpers formed a party they wouldn't have enough members to elect a dog catcher in Washington DC...
We'll find our own leaders and it won't be the people who gave us the finger and stood with democrats against us.
They will have no problem doing the same.
