“For many years, American former P.O.W.s who were in the “Hanoi Hilton” North Vietnamese prison with John McCain called him a “Songbird” who collaborated with the enemy against his own country.

They accused him of turning against them and against his own country in exchange for preferential treatment while many of the actually brave and honorable American P.O.W.s endured torture and denial of medical care and food for refusing to collaborate.”

Give me 30mins per day for 5 consecutive days, and a waterboard, and I can make you say anything I want.

Anything.

I would like to believe I would hold out but I haven't been truly tested unless being forced to watch CNN in Airports and Doctor's offices counts and it doesn't. I fear we shall all be tested very soon and we will see if that oath I first took 65 years ago actually meant anything.

Other men who were tortured far more and endured did not sing like John McCain. That’s why they called him songbird.

General Tom McInerney was fired from Fox News for telling the truth.
