That is what the 2nd Amendment is for.
To stop coups like the one we are in.
There needs to be clear thinking about the chances of prevailing in that event.
I have been contemplating designing a war game about a Second American Civil War for several years now. And the loyalty of the American Armed Forces is one of the key variables--as well as the disposition of the National Guard.
If the bulk of the Armed Forces are loyal to the new regime, then armed insurrection cannot succeed in the short run unless several state governments are supportive of the counter-coup. And a failed counter-coup will provide political cover for the Hard Left to engage in political repression without a peep from squishy moderates. Remember, the bulk of the sheeple have not protested against the medical martial law of the past 7 months.
A lot of Freepers talk a good game. As an infantry officer and historian, I want a sober analysis of the chances of victory. And I don't see the popular support for an armed counter-coup at this point in time.
