When Establishment Republicans Tell You This Election Was on the Level, Do You Believe Them?

Donald Trump had a phenomenal night on Tuesday. He received five million more votes than in 2016, expanded his support from minority voters, and lifted Republican House candidates and state legislatures across the country to victory. Republicans won almost everywhere, and the president's vote leads in battleground states seemed insurmountable and secured. A wall of voters showed up for the president in order to prevail over a "margin of fraud" universally expected by Trump's base. In any other election year, Biden would have conceded by 9 P.M. Instead, the news media refused to call races for the president, Democrats continued to inject uncontrolled mail-in ballots into the count, and Democrat-governed states turned a Trump landslide into a loss. In other words, about the only Republican who ended up losing in 2020 is the only Republican responsible for getting voters to turn out in the first place. That sure makes sense.

The good thing is that we can trust the outcome of the election to be legitimate because really honorable people have told me so. I heard Ben Sasse and Pat Toomey assure me that if the Democrats had committed voting fraud, those same Democrats would have reported themselves by now. That must be true. Mitt Romney has argued for six months that millions of unsolicited mail-in ballots without voter identification or signature requirements would never be used for fraudulent purposes, and why wouldn't I believe Mitt Romney? He was the only Republican, after all, with so much moral backbone that he voted to remove the president for his opponents' crimes. That guy is above reproach.

I feel like the real battle is not these lawsuits over the counts but a knife fight behind the scenes. As in: "Listen up, Brennan. We've got enough right now to send you to the penitentiary for five hundred years. Give up the money men and the whole story behind the twenty million fake ballots - now - or you'll never see daylight again."

To the extent Trump has been gathering evidence against his enemies over the last four years, now is the time to use it. And Trump and Barr have both been surprisingly quiet this week.

My biggest issue that I feel needs to be resolved is why did the states suddenly stop counting in the middle of the returns coming in while millions were watching? That happened when Trump was ahead in PA by 700,000 votes.

Everyone admits that all across the country, Trump did the best among minorities of any GOP candidate since 1960

Everyone also admits that in all major urban areas, Biden underperformed Obama badly, and even under-performed Hillary Clinton

The only places in America this was not true was - Philadelphia, Wayne County (Detroit), and Milwaukee. In those places, Biden “outperformed” Obama by 15% or more.

Who really believes this bullshit????

I believe their actions not their words. For lo these past decades, their actions have been weak, ineffective making their words vain and hollow.

exactly i dont need the politicians to tell me what i’m seeing with my own two eyes. The democrats need ‘fact checkers’ and ‘blue checks’ to tell them what’s true. What i see is a communist insurrection against a duly elected president.

Of course I believe them. They are the know-all and be-all of the loser party.

Just ask Mitt and McStain.

Of course not. Establishment Republicans are just as much of an enemy as Democrats.

Anybody who believes that, regardless of political party, is an absolute fool as well as being intentionally delusional.

How do you ask a person that is dead? You don’t expect the person to answer you, or do you?

Establishment republicans are an especially vile form of politician. When you need them to have your back, and they instead stab you in the back, you realize why the punishment for traitors has historically been so severe.

So arrogant of the GOPold! They love the expanded and growing party Trump gave them. Love it. But think that if they abandon Trump now, that party will be there.

It won’t. Faster than you can say “please clap” the GOP will revert right back to being the dying, shrinking party it was.

The smartest GOP politicians will be those who now fall on their swords for Trump and his movement. It is akin to the hatchet job the GOP did on Goldwater. The establishment tried to get everyone to abandon Goldwater. Many did. Two men did not and both of them went on to win two terms by landslide victories.

In the minority they can just do deals.

They have to get elected for their Paycheck Protection Plan.

If 20 percent of their base [the REAL conservatives] stay home to clip their toenails on election day, then 100% of Democrats will get elected, and there will be no need for a minority party "loyal opposition"...

Yes, and I think the 1960 election was stolen from Nixon. Maurice Stans raised funds for a challenge, but Mr. Nixon declined. In that year the close states were TX, MO, and IL.
