What I want to know is has there ever been a POTUS election where so many states came within a 10th of a point apart? This is really suspicious like they made just enough fake ballots to put Biden in the lead. Take Georgia for example 49.4 to 49.3 or PA, Biden 4/10th of a point above Trump. Trump was ahead in those states especially PA where he was almost TEN points above Biden with 86% of precincts reporting in, and in a day Biden takes the lead? What??
That's because, in earlier times, statistical analysis and polling were not as refined / prevalent.
Yes, the poll numbers that we, the general public, are being fed are "cooked" - but the numbers laid on the table in smoke-filled backrooms are the genuine article. And that's where the campaign money is apportioned out. So, of course, more time, effort, money, and overall resources are going to be poured into contended states (so-called "battleground states"), where it will do the most good (or at least: has the greatest chance of doing some good).
As a consequence, more and more elections will end up being "hotly contested," "close calls," and "near ties."
Because, if you are spending billions of dollars to win an election, you of course want to spend just barely enough to obtain a result which is just barely good enough - and not a penny more.
No one actually funding a campaign wants a "landslide."
