The next projected layoffs stemming from NBCUniversal’s recent restructuring are starting next month, sources tell Deadline.
November 12 is penciled in as the target date as company brass are eying mid-next month for the second wave of staff reductions to begin, we hear. The cuts will likely come in waves, one in mid-November and one to follow in late December or early 2021, with as many as 150-300 employees affected.
NBCUniversal’s recently formed Television and Streaming division, led by chairman Mark Lazarus, is expected to take the brunt of the layoffs.

In all honesty it doesn't affect me. I don't even have cable. I stream sometimes, but usually just to validate the reason why I cut the cord. The future of media is not on cable or over the air.
With that said, hopefully it affects others that are too lazy to see alternative news sources. Conservatives need cut the cord and stop buying from advertisers on main stream media. Their back needs to be broken. This is a transitional period where new information sources are being built on alternative platforms, e.g, not YouTube, and in the process the old media should be at least marginalized if not sent out of business. The latter is quite possible because these companies are so large, have huge capital investments, and debt to repay that they are not agile enough to survive compared to alternative media which is already on a shoestring budget.
Well, those employees prostituted themselves and their paychecks in providing the dishonest service. They KNOWINGLY did Pres Trump and his backers/voters dirty.
While I do hope at least one of those fired has a true ‘come to Jesus moment,’ I don’t hold out much hope for more than that one.
For which, that, I am truly sorry.
Often it’s only after being backstabbed by the other evil folks around an evil person does the evil one wake up. Does that evil one ever understand? Hard to say.....
Jobs going to India. Only jobs left for Americans - janitor, cafeteria server, etc.
Who would have thunk that pissing off your customers u would loose business. Must have gotten their business smarts from Harvard, Princeton, Yale, or Penn State!
Maybe just sucking up to the Squad commies in congress.
