What is it with McSally, anyway? There just seems to be no real appeal to Arizonans for her, or else she’d be well ahead of the gun-grabbing Astronaut.

Kyl and Flake were at least Arizonan, although both were klooless RINO’s. Basically lost in 1980. McCain broke the mold: a furriner who had a shtick (”the longest I lived in any one place was Hanoi”).
McSally and Kelly both trying to pull that train without any of the charisma or resume that Juan had. At least before his brains leaked out.
I think there are at least two AZ Republican Congressmen who could have done better then McSally, but Ducey pulled her along and so they’re stuck with her, quacking and cucking the whole way.
She’s just not an appealing person. And the fighter pilot shtick is a yawn. She can always get a job with an airline.
