I want to avoid any recounts. Whenever there is a recount, the Democrat invariably gains votes in the recount.
Two races flipped which come to mind are Norm Coleman/Al Franken in 2008 in Minnesota, and Christine Gregoire/Dino Rossi Governor’s race in Washington in 2004.
Even in Florida in 2000, even though Gore eventually lost, he picked up about 1,500 votes as they combed through those ballots time and time again, finding dimpled chads and hanging chads and scratched chads which didn’t get punched through and all of that nonsense.
I’m sad to say, but, just as the sun sets in the west, Democrats will gain votes in any recount.
