Respectfully disagree. The push from the legal crowd on the Dem side (and that’s a powerful group in their party) was a real one. RGB’s death destroyed them. We are talking law professors and activist attorneys in literal tears. Not a chance they would have let Biden avoid court packing if the Senate went D.

Dems don’t need court packing with GOP judges being so ideologically unreliable. They can bully them to get what they want. Kavanaugh looks likely to slide left and Gorsuch has made some very questionable decisions already.
