In TX (as in OH, NC and many other states), the early vote—including the mail-in vote thar arrived prior to today—is counted and reported first. I would recommend caution before calling a TX House seat for the Democrats.

CNN uncalling VA indeed is the first such instance for a presidential race since FL in 2000. When all the networks called FL for Gore, I told my brother not to lose hope, that it was too early and unwarranted a call, and that I remember how the networks had to uncall GA from Clinton in 1992 (although Clinton did end up winnin it in a squeaker) and Dick Swett [chortle] in 1996 (where Bob Smith ended up winning that NH U.S. Senate race). I don’t know if Trump will be able to withstand the remaining NoVA vote to be reported, but Biden has underperformed massively in NoVA according to the reported vote (which, caveat, I fear may not include the mail-in vote), so we may end up with an Old Dominion cherry atop our cake with four layers of Rust Belt icing.
