North Carolina has always been a weird weird state politically. I think Trump will carry there tonight, but last I checked Cooper was winning re-election against Forest. Cooper has been the WORST governor in America during this covid mess. Dude thinks he’s dictator. I don’t know how North Carolina could want him for another four years.
North Carolina has not always been weird
First it was a Dixiecrat state which was social conservatism sorry to say to Glenn Beck et al who prefer to brush that over conveniently
Then as the Dems went McGovern it went GOPe more or less
Then liberal yankees moved in starting in the late 80s and the Piedmont turned purple as did Asheville etc
That’s it in a nutshell
Now it’s Virginia lite
