The NYT starts out with polls and the adjusts as real results come in. Not very accurate early until real votes come in. So far this year and back in 2016 they all starting swinging towards Trump once they got real votes.

That's exactly what happened in 2016. It wasn't until around 9:30pm that the needles started swinging Trump's way.
