Don’t shoot the messenger but Trump is running behind his 2016 numbers in the few rural counties that have reported so far

example

Dekalb County IND

Trump won 71-23 there in 2016
with 68% of the vote in it’s 68-30

Green up county KY

Trump won 71-26 in 2016
now 68-31

Those are plenty close at this stage. It’s a Trump blowout either way.

What it really shows is that, so far, this election looks virtually identical to 2016.

Still early and President Trump is doing very close to what he did before.

IMHO if he stays within 5% of what he did before he’ll still carry the near midwest again.
And if he gets an extra 5% of minorities’ votes too he’ll carry a lot of places.
