I think “lagging” is a bit off the mark. As of 2pm, as many votes had been cast in Fairfax as were cast in 2016. But there are more than 100,000 more registered voters than in 2016, so we are lagging in percent of registered voters.
What we don’t have is the affiliation of the registered voters, given that we don’t register by party here.
