RL is all over the shop today. Understandably random and disjointed given that everyone is in a holding pattern waiting for tonight/tomorrow.

But his little devotional segment on his health and faith were, I think, a tipoff to his future plans. If Trump wins reelection with a huge assist from RL I believe Rush will choose that triumph as the best moment to retire. The next election may not arrive in time and he’s long overdue for rest and the enjoyment of his days uninterrupted.

Not necessarily what we want but the timing and circumstances would seem to point in that direction.

Thanks! I must have missed that...what hr? at the very end? Your conjecture makes sense.

Like Trump, Rush is heroic in his devotion to America and its patriots...under the most taxing of circumstances for both of them. And like Trump, Rush is uniquely beloved and feeds off the energy of his audience and his love of the job.

Neither of them are forced with a binary choice. Even if Trump loses (which I doubt), he has choices to make about his level of involvement in politics because he changed the Repub Party forever. He has a stake in his (and the American) legacy.

Rush, as well... His standard in broadcasting is unmatched to this day. If Rush decides to leave the EIB, he could command the airwaves with his intermittent commentary whenever he chose to.

Maybe wishful thinking on my part, but with both of them, I can imagine how painful it must be to consider retirement.

YES...and maybe for days. I hope not.
