I think that whatever our personal and/or religious views may be, that public opinion on this subject has shifted drastically and we are not going back to the 1950s on this one. Part of politics is knowing what is worth fighting for and what is not.
If what they want is tolerance, then I’m content to live and let live.
The problem of course is that far too many are demanding that we all kneel and burn incense before the alphabet god. And that is where I draw the line.
When God weighs in, what’s worth fighting for will be crystal clear.
......”The problem of course is that far too many are demanding that we all kneel and burn incense before the alphabet god. And that is where I draw the line”......
Well public opinion aside for a moment, I can never support marriage beyond a man and a woman nor will I in the future. Any more than I support people living together whose ‘behavior’ is that of pretending to be a married couple.
However here we are where both lifestyles are ‘tolerated’ .....for it appears to me most people are not comfortable with either lifestyle rather just go with the flow of what ‘seems’ to be acceptable ‘public opinion’ but actually isn’t.
...So when it becomes an issue of where it falls within the political arena I will always ‘vote’ against these should they, as we have seen, be so. But I do not base my votes on how people live their life......yet it’s more than disturbing on how the homosexual lifestyle affects ones views because they tend to view things through that lens......
....Therefore when they demand and push their causes on society and that of other sexual deviant behaviors as being a part of the political arena I will push back.....so too with our First Ladies position and that of Trumps on the issue of marriage between homosexuals. I will not agree nor support.
