As a lifelong Michigander, I found this article very interesting. The Trump endorsement from the Flint City Council member was very bold, maybe courageous and I hope it sways other Flint residents.

I was on the ground, in Flint, during the water crisis. I made many home visits to residents there. The city is in far worse shape than I could have imagined. I was shocked and saddened by the conditions residents were living in - especially the poor elderly. Democrat rule is what led to these conditions.

I think Trump could get the suburban mom vote, too, IF he toned down his rhetoric and acted more presidential. Truly, that is all some of these women are looking for. They aren’t reading policy positions or overly concerned about peace in the Middle East.

The article doesn’t mention the Gretchen Whitmer factor. She is disliked my many people, and not all of them are Republicans.
