A dozen graphs charting the number of COVID-19 cases in countries and U.S. states confirm the conclusions of recent studies that mask mandates have no effect on the spread of the disease.
Yinon Weiss, a tech entrepreneur and U.S. military veteran who holds a degree in bioengineering from the University of California at Berkeley, pointed out in an analysis for The Federalist that after the initial panic over predictions that millions of Americans would die, the Centers for Disease Control currently estimates a COVID-19 survival rate of 99.99 percent for people younger than 50.

Anaesthetist Dr Babak Amin says the Andrews governments’ mask mandate is another “dreamt up” draconian measure because it does not refer exclusively to surgical masks but rather masks with no universal standard of manufacture.
“We’re talking about cloth masks, non-medical masks with no universal standards for their manufacture,” Dr Amin told Sky News host Alan Jones.
“We’re talking about masks that – when you look through the medical literature – play no role in stopping the spread of respiratory illnesses.
“There is a significant body of evidence from years gone by, looking at the role of these cloth masks in community settings with previous pandemics.
“There is a raft of high-quality data, what we call meta-analyses, studies that compile multiple other studies together, and these studies have found that non-medical masks in community settings play no role in protecting the wearer from infection.”
Mr Jones pointed to a study from Dr James Meehan of Global Research which argues bacterial pneumonias are currently on the rise because “untrained members of the public are wearing medical masks repeatedly … in a non-sterile fashion”.
“We are dealing with the administration who dreamt up… three draconian unforgivable measures with no basis in scientific evidence whatsoever,” Dr Amin said.
“And now they’re trying to do it again with this mask mandate.”

Sky News host Alan Jones says there is “rank dishonesty” about Hydroxychloroquine, a medicine which Australians are being denied access to despite it being a recommended lifesaving treatment for COVID-19.

Mr Jones pointed out the medical treatment had been recommended as a lifesaving treatment in a peer-reviewed paper published in The American Journal of Medicine, authored by 24 doctors including five PhD’s.
“Australians are being denied access to a medicine and denied access to a medical treatment which is recommended as a lifesaving treatment,” Mr Jones said.
Mr Jones spoke with Liberal MP Craig Kelly, who has been pushing for the medicine in parliament. “This is not whether I think this drug is useful or not, it’s what the peer-reviewed science says,” Mr Kelly said...

This is a meaningless article that is no more scientific than many of the laughable climate change studies. The author draws conclusions based upon the spread of Covid in countries that require masks. However, there is a big difference between wearing a mask and wearing a mask properly. I don’t know with any degree of certainty whether masks control the spread of Covid. But I do know with 100% certainty that wearing a mask below the nose has absolutely no impact upon the spread of Covid. Based upon my anecdotal observations, 95% or the people I see in public spaces where social distancing cannot be maintained are wearing a mask, but only 50% of them are wearing the mask over the nose and tight to the face.
I get it: Many people, including myself, hate wearing a masks. But that’s no excuse for contorting the statistics to justify the ends. The issue is not whether masks are effective, but whether a properly fitted mask that is worn over the nose and mouth is effective, and I have yet to see a study that says they are not.
I can only see two graphs and to me they prove nothing because the COVID probably invaded may people before masks were mandatory.
Also, how many people were wearing masks before the mandate.
Seems to me masks must do some good but statistics might prove that not enough good to make a difference. If masks make some people feel better then that’s fine.
Well, I haven’t seen a study that says sniffing unicorn farts isn’t effective in combating COVID, either. So? Prove that masks ARE effective, and people might listen. This article makes the point that requiring them to be worn, is NOT effective. Whether that’s because they’re not “being worn properly” or not, is irrelevant.
You need to go do some research on the size of the corona virus and get back to me. Masks are useless.
The public officials have equated masks and social distancing as equally effective. They are not.

I can’t seem to find any biohazard disposal containers. They should be on every corner to collect these virus-filled death rags. How will we ever stop the pandemic with filthy, contaminated face diapers lining the streets?
If masks worked we would see Democrat Karen enclaves in liberal small cities have few covid transmissions and new cases, and we don’t.
It’s not the size of the virus, it’s the size of the aerosol droplets that counts.
Masks are not particularly effective, but a decrease of 10% of a viral load could be what gives this old, slightly overweight, pre-diabetic, smoker and drinker.a few more birthdays.
Besides, it’s fun walking into a liquor store or bank wearing a mask and a gun.
