I guess my implication is that this not a game they want to play.
It hasn’t been a century since a civilized central European nation tried to completely exterminate several relatively harmless minorities (Jews, Gypsies, etc.) and came pretty close to succeeding despite being at war with most of the rest of the world.
What do the Moslems think will happen if they manage to convince the Europeans they really are existential threats?
In France, they are already contained in ghettoes for which entry and exit can be controlled.

I agree. Have you ever seen videos of the French GIGN at work? That organization was formed after the 1972 Olympics massacre and has been very innovative in developing counter-terrorism measures. There's a recent movie, titled "15 Minutes of War", about that organization proving itself in a real-life hostage situation involving a bus full of school children.
Unfortunately, the French government is like the government of Portland writ large - the peacekeepers are usually kept on a tight leash.

If the mass rapes that happen on New Years Eves are not provoking a Krystalnacht type of response from the Dads, Brothers, Boyfriends, and regular normal male that gets outraged over sexual assault, what in the hell would prompt them to go full Auschwitz with the mooseslimbs?
