Connecticut adds Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and California to COVID-19 travel advisory but exempts Rhode Island
Hartford Courant ^

Connecticut added Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and California to its COVID-19 travel advisory Tuesday, making 40 states and two territories now on the list — plus two others that would qualify if not for agreements in place with governors there.

There are now only seven states whose recent COVID-19 numbers fall below Connecticut travel advisory thresholds: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii.

Visitors from states listed on the advisory must fill out a travel form upon arriving in Connecticut, then either present proof of a negative coronavirus test or quarantine for 14 days. States are automatically added when they average 10 or more new coronavirus cases a day for every 100,000 residents or record a positivity rate of 10% or higher over a seven-day period.

Connecticut itself has experienced about 17 daily cases per 100,000 residents over the past week, well over its own advisory threshold and higher than several states on the list, including Massachusetts. Gov. Ned Lamont and his counterparts in New York and New Jersey announced last week they will not add each other’s states to their respective advisories no matter how high case-counts rise.

Wait, so CT has a higher number of cases than states on their list but has decide that is fine. But if you state has a Dem governor, no matter how high you rates go no quarantines for you. What happened to Muy Science?

Sounds like they’re trying to keep people from voting 6 days from now.

Connecticut’s "Travel Advisory",..... created in 'partnership' with New York and

New Jersey, applies to anyone who visits Connecticut for more than 24 hours

after spending more than 24 hours in a listed state.

Over the summer CT was whining how they had all these grand plans for improving/expanding Bradley Airport in Windsor Locks, just north of Hartford, the states main airport, but now they don’t know if that will be possible. Too bad, Comrade Lamont wants to be a dictator and basically stop all travel to/from CT. Deal with the consequences.

No one. They have fines in place and kiosks at the airport to get tested or fill out the form but brag they test only 300 people per day at said airport. To me that says most people just walk on by and ignore it.

If you cant enforce that, good luck enforced something within driving distance.

I lived in R Island and worked in Massachusetts.....New Englanders tend to have an arrogance that isn't easily overlooked.
