Luckily “slow droplets” are less infectious. All of the doctors and nurses I have spoken to acknowledge that masks are for show and control purposes and completely worthless for stopping virus transmissions.
Respiratory droplets are already heavy enough to fall to the floor normally with gravity. If you slow the droplets, they don’t go as far. If they don’t go as far, they’re less likely to reach someone else before falling to the floor.
