Another point: The WP argues COVID is driving voters in Wisconsin to support Biden. Why? Because cases and deaths are up. But Biden’s plan is already being done in Wisconsin. Masks everywhere, shutdowns, strict government controls. So if it isn’t working in Wisconsin, why would they want MORE shutdowns? More masks? More sitting at home and never have a holiday ever again? Heck, Biden is literally running on a platform of “Always winter. Never Christmas!”
As you point out, a 15% lead would suggest a massive landslide of historic proportions. Someone taking a swing state by 15% or more would be winning EVERYWHERE. Meanwhile, in Arizona, I’m living on a street where every other house has a Trump flag hanging. I never saw THAT with Ronald Reagan! One guy has FOUR Trump flags - and he’s black! The enthusiasm I’m seeing fro Trump - admittedly in a conservative town - is off the charts!
The Dems have placed everything on COVID. What they miss is that this ain’t March. They told us about COVID then and assured us millions would die.
Since then our experiences have taught us differently. Millions aren’t dying and we can all sure as hell see that while they were telling us to destroy our kids (no in person school), destroy our businesses and wear mask, they were actively encouraging “peaceful” BLM protests and the like.
In short, the view that COVID is some natural disaster has been replaced by the obvious, namely, that it is a political tool to get one side its power. To most, Covid has become white noise that is factored into day to day life.
If you like Trump, you see it for what it is. You realize that the virus is woke and only spreads to events that the Dems don’t like and appears, miraculously, at a time the Dem need it to appear.
If you hate Trump, you still realize all the above but don’t care as long as you can use it to gain power.
The Dems bet everything in everyone having Covid as their first, second and third concern. It is it, the only thing that will drove the election. It is their ENTIRE strategy, and voila, you get polls like this, validating their world view.
What makes it so pathetic, is that it is so predictable.
