“The problem with election day voting this year is they will have all the COVID rules that will extend the lines and discourage in person voting.”
I agree. My understanding is that they are SLOWLY disinfecting every station in between each voter. Old people volunteering at these polling stations work very slowly.
People might give up waiting and go home, or not be able to vote by 8 pm.
I’m going to give early voting a try (starts Thurs for me), and if it looks ridiculous there too and on Fri and Sat I’ll just turn in my ballot in a drop box instead by Sat.
I think Election Day will be a sh—show of lines due to covid stuff and I hate waiting in line.
I agree with your assessment—voting at your convenience is just common sense.
I early voted in Texas. They gave me a long Q-tip to use to push the tablet used for voting. No sanitation between voters that I saw. There was hand sanitizer available.
Early voting in Texas is a breeze. I went 2-3 days after it started and there were 5 people in line ahead of me. With 6 voting machines it took less than 5 minutes.
Plus they have a map that shows the wait time at each polling place so you can pick one with no line.
