Marxists, with their riots, try to elicit the use of force in hope there will be bloodshed tranmitted to the public on camera, so that they can put forward the propaganda claim the government is “brutal” and “needs to be overturned.
If I saw them being mowed down on camera right now, I would probably cheer, and then when they realize tons of people are cheering, the Tee Vee and social media will suddenly go dark.
Unless it's a full-scale shooting war, sniper fire from a distance or other covert fire is probably far less harmful than any shots on camera would be.
