My recollection is the initial Monica story was based on a rumor that a Newsweek article had been written, but was never published. It was curiosity into that which led to the rest.
Is this reporter being tricked, maybe, but just like the Monica story, he claims another larger news source had the story first, but refused to publish it. Again like Monica he claims there are audio tapes. The photos should be compared to her handwriting ASAP, as well,
