There are many people (including some here on FR) who accept as evidence that General Flynn lied Flynn’s acceptance of a plea bargain.
They don’t consider the factors that you stated, that they bankrupted him, lost him the ability to be employed, and threatened to charge his son (who had an infant son at the time) with crimes.
