More than anything, Trump needs high turnout among blue collar whites. Bragging that he lets more people out of prison than Obama did may not be a way to get there. If that’s all I knew about Trump or the issues, I wouldn’t vote for a Republican who boasted that he’s better than the Democrats in a traditional Democrat cause.
I get it—but those blue collar whites, like me, a white collar white, also have knucklehead teens who all too frequently get involved with the police. In our case, the sheriff.
