Biden doesn't have any support. He is the generic/nameless Trump opponent on the ballot and he is counting on Trump hate to carry him over the finish line.
Exactly...it’s ALL anti-Trump. They could put Satan himself as the head of the ticket and he’d still get support from the Dems.
I think something we all need to keep in mind is Trump is not bleeding voters because of bad policy decisions. Maybe some will defect because of his rhetoric. If anything, independents and Democrats who have not drank the cool-aid, and voted for Hillary in 2016 are probably going to vote for Trump.
The pollsters have to keep it close because it is entertaining and keeps the voters interested.
The problem for Biden is that people won't turn out to vote for a generic Democrat. I have always thought that the lack of enthusiasm for Biden is the reason that the Democrats are pushing for vote by mail. Takes a lot less effort than actually going to the polls for the unmotivated but leaning Biden voters. Probably the only way that Biden gets their vote on November 3 is by mail but they skew the polls. It is easier to say that I'm voting than to actually make it to the polls.
