Bush had 246 vs. Gore’s 250, without Florida’s 25.
Whoever won Florida would be President.
Florida itself was so close it merited recounts.
There is always funny business, but funny business doesn’t throw an election UNLESS IT IS VERY CLOSE.
There is no reason to believe the 2020 election will be that close - and plenty of reasons to believe it will not:
1) This is a re-election - they are rarely close - the incumbent wins big.
2) Look at the enthusiasm gap in 2020 - there’s nothing close about it.
3) Biden is too old and senile to be POTUS, and he’s hiding from the public.
4) Biden has just been hit with a devastating October surprise.
We will know who won when we go to bed Nov 3 - even if the ABCNNBCBS fake news refuses to call a few swing states - even if the Biden campaign refuses to concede for a few days.
We will sleep soundly on election night.

Here in NC, the mail in ballots have 3 days after NOV 3 before they have to be counted.
That was enough in 2016 to swing the election for Governor in NC to the Dem Cooper though it was not enough to swing the election for Hillary.
Still, the voter fraud this time around is going to be massive.

Worth remembering that the only reason 2000 came to the wire in Florida in the first place was because of the nasty October surprise that the Dems/media sprung on Bush at the last minute, same as Biden is getting a nasty October surprise now.
