WASHINGTON (AP) Debate commission adopts new rules to mute microphones to allow Trump, Biden 2 minutes of uninterrupted time per segment.
How is that at all fair. Its because peace is breaking out everywhere and no one has anything to say about it. Everyone is worried about the Republic but if they can control the flow of information to this extent its already done. As far as Race, Trump needs to throw it in their face. Every complaint the black community has had regarding race has come with the Democrats getting 90% of the black vote. The Democrats leave the ghettos rat infested, the democrats allow massively levels of crime in the black community. The Democrats put abortion clinics in black neighborhoods. The Democrats whave worked for 40 years with an eye on destroy the black family. Trump needs to get these talking points ready, practice, prepare and say it with passion come debate day. Make them wish they were talking foreign policy!
Questions will be attack questions toward Trump. We don’t need the debates.
My take the Dems are scared of something to go to this extreme.....
Except Biden did... Interesting that you wholesale bought the left’s spin.
Absolutely. That’s a good point about Biden’s lie being “off subject” - Chrissy Wallace should have interrupted Biden, not Trump.
The a-holes at the Debate Commission have yet to realize theyre the problem
“Also to smirk, laugh, snarl, sigh and then declare EVERYTHING the other guy just said is a lie.”
You just described Juan Williams.
Trump needs more self-discipline in this last debate if it happens. The moderator is a viper. Biden will get soft ball questions. Trump will be debating both. He needs to be calm and stick to his message.
Maybe hand gestures would suffice. I can think of a couple for him to use
“Trump should tweet when he is unable to talk.”
what a GREAT idea!
PRES DEBATES
—Someone else posted a good idea about chess clocks, and Ill expand on it much further. Two hour debate for example, each candidate gets an hour on the clock. Moderator introduces them, then flips a coin on who goes first.
—Each candidate gets a button that does four things. Mutes their own mic, unmutes the other guys mic, stops their own countdown clock, and starts the other guys clock. They can talk as long as they want, no interruptions, but they only get half the total debate time. They also get a pen n paper to keep notes for their responses to each other.
—Moderator has a button that mutes both and freezes both clocks, but his only role is to provoke conversation if the candidates hit a stop in their debate, from a list of questions/subjects whose exact wording was agreed to by both candidates prior. Or keep things civil if it gets heated/personal, but since each candidate is in full control of handing over the mic, it should remain rather calm. And move, since going slow only hurts yourself and your clock. Plus Im sure each candidate wants to save their time to try and be the final speaker.
—After both clocks hit zero, they each get two(?) minutes for closing thoughts, muted from each other, so theres no further debate/rebuttals/continuation of debate from whomever goes second, its just a short closing speech.
—The moderator can then thank both, end the night, and remind the audience about what circus is on at 8pm eastern tonight, and/or beg everyone to watch the Cowboys and try to prop up their ratings dive.
- multiple-debates. Do 2 or so debates per candidate, where they can pick 5-10 moderators, then other campaign selects from that group. Then follow the chess clock method, so moderators don’t really matter anyway.
** Note all of these debates are to be held in a neutral location (stadium/arena, civic center, hotel ballroom, ampitheatre, zoos, convention centers, etc.), scattered around the countrry, and can be attended/reported on by any press organization. No “home crowd” at the CNN or MSNBC or Fox studio. Candidates are REQUIRED to attend these debates to be eligible for election. Each campaign gets 1/3 of the audience tickets to be handed out at their discretion, the other 1/3 can be split between the host location, city host mayor, and debate sponsors (something’s gotta pay for the location rental, AV, snacks, etc.).
Trump should avoid any debate controlled by the Deep State Debate Commission.
Just appear with friendly interviewers.
That is the way to win.
“3 wolves and a sheep discuss what is for dinner.”
I haven’t heard any solutions put forth from the RNC or president Trump in regard to the future of the Commission on Presidential Debates. I really feel that Republican voters are getting screwed. Our political views are not being addressed. They need to fix this problem now so that our future candidates don’t have to fight this battle.

Hack the mute button.
Two words.
Use visuals...
That link says “the latest- Trump tells staffers we’re going to win” but the actual article title is something different; says something regarding the debate.
“Nothing like changing the rules after everything has been agreed upon.”
No, what was agreed to last time was that they would not interrupt.
Cancel the debate and have another huge rally.
I thought the same thing at first. But the more I think about it, PDT just needs to hammer the Biden Crime Family over and over. Cutting his mic every time he starts to talk about it, makes it look more and more suspect. Plus, I would like to think a large portion of the viewership wouldn’t stand for the over-the-top bias. If they don’t cut his mic, he gives them a 10 second answer to whatever ridiculous question they ask, and then use the remaining 1:50 to hammer Biden again, again, and again.
F@#$ that. The way they react under fire is much more revealing than how they recite rehearsed talking points to anticipated questions. What next? Choreographed boxing matches and MMA tourneys?
No. Let these assholes show their bias by muting Trump over and over again. Let them over play their hand like they did with the townhall, and like they do every debate.
