A record-breaking surge of mail-voting Democrats in Florida has handed Joe Biden a massive lead over President Donald Trump in his must-win home state.
But here come the Republicans.
The start of in-person voting Monday is expected to trigger a conservative wave that will build over the next two weeks and crest on Election Day. Around two-thirds of participating Florida GOP voters are likely to cast a ballot in person this fall, raising the question of whether Biden, the Democratic presidential nominee, will be able to hold off a Trump comeback by the time the polls close at 7 p.m. on Nov. 3.
Our voters have said they would like to vote in person, said Susie Wiles, the operative leading Trumps Florida campaign. And our expectation is thats what theyll do, whether its early or on Election Day. As of Sunday, more than 1.2 million Democrats had voted by mail in Florida, compared to 754,000 Republicans. That gives Biden an enormous edge that his supporters have held up as a leading indicator that the former vice president will end Trumps presidency by taking Floridas 29 electoral college votes.
But if Florida turnout matches 2016, there are likely still 8 million or so ballots left to be counted over the next 15 days. ...
Fifteen days out from Election Day in 2016, according to his data, there were about 36,000 more Republican super voters than Democratic super voters who had yet to cast ballots. This year, with 15 days to go, there are 471,000 more Republican high-propensity voters than Democrat super voters still to cast ballots.

They’re never happy
Not from what has been tracked so far. That line is misleading.
Ping!
It’s all the post election day “voting” that concerns me!
I think we win FL, and therefore we win NC. NC is inherently more conservative than FL, maybe not by a ton, but by enough. The “Trump isn’t winning NC” meme is just a media demoralization campaign in my opinion. Let’s also factor in that a lot of the New Yorkers that have been moving to Florida are CONSERVATIVE.
Dims “with a massive lead?” NOT what I am seeing! They are behind 2016. And they lost.
I really don’t get the tactic of using “engineered” polls to demoralize your opponent’s supporters. I’ve always voted regardless - even in 2008 when we all knew how the election was going to go.
My wife and I are keeping our powder dry until ED. Then, BLAM!!
I think North Carolina has been overrun by liberal northerners, more than Florida.
Good! I’ve always HATED EV. Nothing more than too many chances to cheat! I realize that it is tough for some to go on ED, but voting is a duty for people that love their country. Voting isn’t for the lazy. Besides, for those who absolutely cannot vote on ED, there is always absentee ballots.
Well I hope the GOP wave does materialize.
bkmk
The entire Gore/Bush mess in 2000 was created by Tom Brokaw, who called the election early (for Gore?), forgetting the two time zones, after which thousands in the panhandle did not go to the polls.
I was working the early voting polling place in our county today. A majority of the voters coming in were 55+. The majority registration in my county is democrat. I would bet my next check that Trump was killing it today. These people might be democrat but they are Legacy Democrats and dont vote for corrupt communists.
Yep, and the late Dr. Krauthammer forgot in 2016 and ended up looking bad in an argument with Bill O’Reilly.
I early-voted this afternoon—for Trump/Pence and a straight Republican ticket!!!!
Since I am a registered Independent, I won’t be counted in those statistics comparing “Democrat” snd “Republican” early voters. Phooey, anyway!!
there was a three mile long string of cars with Trump flags on them rolling thru Osceola County on Saturday. This flash mob rolled down 192 to the sounds of horns and flashes of iPhones. Somethings up....
