I know it’s the WaPo, but sheesh - restaurants are going broke, small businesses need loans to make payroll, people are missing rent payments, schools are closed - and what they’ve decided is worthy of national news is a drag dress designer missing his busy season?

What the hell is that about? “Conversational level” means no music other than maybe low-level background elevator-style Musak of absolutely no interest to anyone in the room.

As a performing musician, I’m already out of luck at playing live, but to then prohibit me from even listening to enjoyable music at a level where you can hear it OVER OTHER PEOPLE’S INANE CONVERSATION is just a bridge too far.

I bet if it’s some Communist Anthem they’d turn the volume up, though.
