Joe Biden and Kamala Harris represent, respectively, the go-along-to-get-along stasis of a lifelong politician and the frightening potential for abuse by a cop on a well-meaning crusade.
Particularly when it comes to civil liberties and criminal justice reform umbrella terms for the issues with which I'm most politically engaged they have absolutely terrible records as overreaching "tough on crime" politicians.
And yet I'm going to vote for the Democratic ticket anyway resolutely, though not without some lamentation that it has come to this because Donald Trump's presidency is that indefensible and destructive.

It feels terrible to vote for candidates you dislike or distrust, but we've all got our own political calculus. Mine is centered on an unbending desire to see Trump's political career end in humiliating defeat.

I think you nailed it.
Translation: “I was going to vote for Biden because I thought he was a good guy, but now I’m going to vote for Biden because I think he’s a bad guy.”
Sure fella. What voter wouldn’t want to have a POS like you for a roll model?
If media idiots like the supposedly conservative author of this stupid article need to regurgitate their fake moral outrage on their readers, they should also learn how to do something that still has a modicum of self-respect: ABSTAIN from voting. If one truly detests both candidates with such rancor, then one should stay the hell home and subsequently SHADDUP!
Never Trumpers truly are slippery, venomous snakes.
And full disclosure — I voted for McCain but was all set to NOT vote for him until Palin came along (because I knew O’Bummer would have it in the bag and saw voting as a complete waste of time that year). That woke me up to that election and got me to vote, because I thought she was kick ass (still do!). If he didn’t pick Palin for his VP, I wouldn’t have voted because I did not like McManiac at all. Too old and decrepit, and too corrupt - just like Plugs! And with Romney - I had a moderate like/dislike relationship with him, but he was def the best on illegal immigration, and I thought he’d be good for the country overall. So I saw SOME redeeming qualities there. Yeah, I despised Obama with a passion for sure (and certainly by 2012 — ie. “cops acted stupidly”, IRS scandal, Benghazi, etc.), but if the Republicans put up someone even weaker than Mittens, I would have said screw it and stayed home. Voting just to get someone out is not exactly the action of an informed citizen. Sometimes you need to wait things out if you want a better resolution.
And that is exactly what this holier-than-thou, fake conservative author of this stupid and infantile article should do...
OK, rant off!
Even with the level of Biden crime family corruption it’s easy for Dems to vote Biden Harris. Nothing matters to the socialist voter. It’s all about Leftism by any means necessary. This election will be decided by base turnout but more importantly the Independents who will not tolerate scandal in politics no matter the side. Get the word out. Flood facebook. They are allowing Biden crime family article links at the moment. I don’t know how widely distributed it would be to you “friends” though as I’m sure their algorithms suppress it. But better than doing nothing. Remember....for the most part Independents unfortunately aren’t here reading the truth on FR.
So an extreme left progressive nut job is going to vote for Biden and Harris. Ho hum. And this is shocking news how? Nest thing you know, you’ll be telling me Rosie O’Donnell is voting for Biden/Harris
And notice, you can’t leave comments on the original article. This type likes to say what he has to say, and mute any response. Mr. Last Word.
He is a self-described “libertarian”, but has morphed into a flailing nutcase who has really nothing to say due to his irreversible, stage 4 TDS.
These are all great comments, btw! Making my morning covfefe that much better.
FR rules !

He forgot to add:
If this selfish desire destroys America, oh well. Orange man bad.
What does BI have to do with business?
Rosie O? Didn’t she move out of the US when Trump won?
Because Orange man bad! Wah! Stinking fools.
Enemy propaganda.

Two basic ideas emerge, criticism of trade policy and a crackdown on drugs. Both would involve payoffs to many high-level politicians here to "...look the other way" many times to effect the desired end. If you look at the article in that perspective, it becomes very clear as to who paid whom to write it.
Ah, an intelligent reader.
This is not new. This is “never Trumpism”. We don’t have to wonder who people like Bill Krystol and George Will are going to vote for. They want their influence back, and if they can get .1% influence back by going Democrat, then that works for them.
Make no doubt....this guy is a dyed in the wool liberal democrat...translation bla...bla...bla...bla....Trump is rude so I will vote to destroy the country!!!!!
Nah, unfortunately. like the rest of the big mouth Hollywood hypocrites promising to move out, Rosie O’Donnell is still here. The only one I am concerned about threatening to leave and move to Greece if Trump wins is Tommy Lee because there is not enough booze, drugs and tattoo parlors there to sustain his life force and the poor soul may wither on the vine.
What a bunch of horse shit.
I so agree.
It would be like, this poison is smells nicely, so I am going to drink it anyway.
