Uh Oh: Here's Why the FBI Is Now Investigating Hunter Biden's Emails
Townhall.com ^ | October 16, 2020 | Matt Vespa

Well, I’m sure you all know the October surprise by now. Hunter Biden is back. We have emails. And it looks like former Vice President Joe Biden has been exposed as a total liar regarding his son’s shady business dealings. The New York Post had the scoop. They’ve been churning out stories about Hunter’s business arrangements, which was never asked of Joe Biden during his town hall event with ABC News. Talk about safe territory.

The elder Biden has said that he didn’t know anything about his son’s business ventures. Well, that’s just not true Joe. Hunter was on the board of a Ukrainian energy company, Burisma. Hunter knew squat about energy but was put there in 2014—earning $50k/month. He was there to sell access, allegedly, to top Obama officials. Burisma got that (via NY Post):

Among the emails on the hard drive was one which indicated Hunter Biden introduced his father to a top executive at a Ukrainian energy firm who was at the time under investigation before the elder Biden pressured government officials in Ukraine to fire that prosecutor a year later.

The emails were on Hunter’s MacBook Pro, which he dropped off at a repair shop in Delaware in April of last year. He didn’t pick it up, so the owner made copies and also turned the computer over to the FBI, who had this for months. What were they doing, especially since we have reports that the FBI is reviewing the emails as part of a possible foreign spy operation (via the Hill):

Biggs/GOPers to Wray: Was the FBI in possession of the laptop and hard drive that was documented in the New York Post article?
2. Did the FBI take any steps to authenticate the laptop, hard drive, and data that was uncovered?— Chad Pergram (@ChadPergram) October 15, 2020

Federal authorities are investigating if emails allegedly discovered on a laptop at a Delaware repair shop discussing Democratic nominee Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden’s activities in Ukraine were connected to a foreign intelligence operation, NBC News reported Thursday night.

Two people familiar with the matter told the network about the federal investigation.

The FBI took the laptop and a hard drive through a grand jury subpoena that was later published by the New York Post, a conservative newspaper

The FBI declined to comment to The Hill on the reported probe, citing its standard practice of not confirming or denying an investigation.

[…]

The New York Post said the repair shop owner, identified by the Daily Beast as John Paul Mac Isaac, informed the FBI and a Giuliani associate the laptop belonged to Hunter Biden because of a sticker on it for the Beau Biden Foundation, a charity for his deceased brother.

“Before turning over the gear, the shop owner says, he made a copy of the hard drive and later gave it to former Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s lawyer, Robert Costello,” the Post said. “Steve Bannon, former adviser to President Trump, told The Post about the existence of the hard drive in late September and Giuliani provided The Post with a copy of it on Sunday.”

Regarding the emails’ authenticity, well, not even the Biden camp can outright deny it as fabrications. They’re probably not. Hunter is a swamp creature—and that aspect got a lot of sunshine over the past 24 hours.

They are "investigating" but not looking for evidence of crimes to potentially be turned over to a prosecutor. I believe the FBI was corrupted to it's core during the obama/Biden years.

I believe there are two main reasons for the "investigation"...

One, by stating there is an ongoing investigation FBI officials now have cover to deflect *any* questions even remotely related to the Bidens, Ukraine, anything. "Sorry, we cannot comment on an ongoing investigation..." Done. That cover can also be somewhat extended to anyone and everyone connected. "Sorry, cannot comment on that..."

Two, they do have a few trusted (read that as corrupt) upper level people investigating, maybe even including using low level agents who will dutifully do what they are told. What they're really looking for is anything damning to the Bidens and peripherally obama and the Clintons. Once they know what evidence is out there they can turn it over to "those who must be protected" so they can work to counter it, buy it off, or the "trusted" FBI agents might even help them quietly destroy it or lock it away...

Nope, the race is on right now, and the good guys (that's us, those that oppose the Bidens and their ilk) are losing.

The most interesting part of this story is that the Bidens are being extremely quiet about it, and have only offered the narrowest of denials.

You have to guess that the Biden team is grilling Hunter, trying to find out just exactly what is on that laptop. They will have a hard time denying things that they are first hearing about in the New York Post.

My guess is that Hunter was so out of it that he probably forget where he left the laptop. Though, if it was waterlogged, he might have thought he got rid of it and somebody else found it.

“What Leaked with Biden Emails Hints FBI Investigation Could Have Already Taken a Damning Turn”

The Western Journal / October 15, 2020
[Excerpt]
A picture of the subpoena, issued by the FBI to seize the laptop and a hard drive, has personal details redacted, but it looks like the censor missed the barely legible signature.

The signature appears to match that of FBI Special Agent Joshua Wilson, who isn’t just some bureau pencil-pusher.

In 2012, Wilson was described by The Star-Ledger, a New Jersey-based newspaper, as “an FBI agent based in New Jersey who has spent nearly five years working full time on child pornography.” (More recent news articles suggest Wilson has also worked child abduction cases.)

A child pornography criminal complaint from 2012 includes Wilson’s signature — seemingly an exact match to what was found on the December subpoena.

I’ve had A lot of scenarios run through my head. The idea that Hunter Maugham not remember where he took it is possible. I also thought maybe one of his sex partners stole it and took it in to be repaired. Nothing should be overlooked.

That store owner did two smart things. One, he did his legal responsibility by taking it to the FBI. He saw evidence of many different crimes, and reported that.

Second, he went to the NY Post, not the Times, and Rudy Giuliani. The best way to protect himself is to be public about this. That way. if he suddenly is found dead, we will know it wasn’t by his own hand.

It is very late in the game. Very late. October surprises must come in September now. I really think there is no productive energy over there. Trump-Russia; Trump-Ukraine, COVID fear, Trump taxes.... who cares? No one voting for Trump in 2016 thought he was a choir boy and he still won (even with bus audio). They have got to be desperate at this point.

The playbook has changed but too many of us are saying things that would have sounded fine 60 years ago: October surprise, townhalll=bad. This is not Nixon-Kennedy where only news outlets controlled thought. There is zero way Trump would have won in 2016 if the old playbook worked. If you doubt me, go back and watch the old playbook being tried on ACB. It does not age well. Toss it out... The President is only fishing for 2-3% of the voters and sorry to say no one on FR he should be catering to now. It should be full court press for the 2-3% and that means he has to go into the pit and get some scars.

The FBI could catch Hunter with a dead 9 year old girl in his basement and they still wouldn’t do anything.

Biden's media pals claim that nobody knows who brought the laptop to the repair shop, who owns it, and who put the emails on it. But Guiliani at 8:55 on Steven Crowder voutube video says he has a receipt that Hunter himself signed when he dropped it off.

The FBI probably will go after Rudy, but if they had any substance at all, they’d keep investigating the Bidens.

It occurred to me that Hunter was being sued for paternity about the time of this laptop repair. I wonder how that case might figure into this thing. Wasn’t the baby’s mama a hooker that Hunter got pregnant? Or do I have that wrong?

“The Democrat Party IS the new mafia.”

Always has been. I recall a Life Mag article back in the 60s reporting that a NJ Congressman (Gallagher) had to call one of his pals in the NJ gang to come and pick up a body in his basement. Kind of thought that was a bit of blather until I met the guy who said he did the deed. He had no reason to lie about it. His story was the body had been placed there as a warning to the guy.

There is also the other angle which is deter about 2-3 % now to backing an aging old demented criminal caught in the act. Those whom were about to hold their nose and vote Biden may just not do so any longer and abstain.
