A spokesperson for President Donald Trump’s campaign is declaring that the president “defeated” town hall moderator, Savannah Guthrie, and derided the NBC “Today” host as a “surrogate” for Democrat Joe Biden’s campaign.
Campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh also said after Thursday’s event that the president “masterfully handled Guthrie’s attacks and interacted warmly and effectively with the voters in the room.”

She was very unprofessional and her bias showed.
Then there are the questions from the audience, and Guthrie kept interrupting the President and his responses. This was not a moderator, she's a kamikaze attacker out for blood. And Trump shot her down!

The story of the ‘debate’ was that President Trump won over the audience.
I seem to remember that way back ALL moderators/interviewers treated ALL candidates just as she treated President Trump.
Nowadays they’re not allowed to treat Dem candidates that way... too bad for the media and it’s reputation.
That woman was on drugs. She desperately dreamed of future glory by trying to goad PDJT into making an inappropriate comment like he did about MeAgain Kelly years ago. Not a chance, he’s too smart.

I've never heard it described that way, but it's very fitting. I was in the other room while my wife was watching, and all I could year was yap-yap-yap; yap-a-yap-yap-yap; yap-yap-yap-yap, yap-yap-yap. Like a chihuahua on crack cocaine. I used to work with a woman like that. When she got on a roll it was everything I could do not to forcefully cram a sock down her throat.
Yes, he defeated her. So what? She’s not on the ballot. What she did was prevent him from connecting with the audience, both live and at home. It was an ambush, with Guthrie spending the first half of the “town hall” arguing and lecturing Trump while reading off the Biden Campaign’s talking points, and the second half spouting pre-planned rebuttals to his answers to the audience questions. In other words, it wasn’t a town hall at all.

The start was a bit hard on President Trump but after that the moderator behaved as I wish all moderators/interviewers would behave to all candidates.
Her challenging of President Trump, her ‘post-audience-question’ challenges just gave President Trump a chance to shine more brightly. Much better than letting him slough off ‘tough’ questions.
President Trump won over some NBC viewers tonight and he wouldn’t have done that if he wasn’t challenged.
Wish ALL interviewers/moderators behaved as she did tonight, to ALL candidates. Tough challenging gives the good candidates a chance to shine, and the bad candidates a chance to fall.
