You weren’t rude. There are a ton of people, as we all well know, that just don’t use their brains. They want to be spoon fed information. They aren’t critical thinkers.
Some people get their news and opinions from Rachel Maddow (gulp) and the CNN Lemon,Blitzer and Tapper interviews (yipes).
Some Founders wanted free education for all because a free society needed educated and informed voters. Jefferson feared the "Great Unwashed" would be fools swayed by demagogues speaking on crates in public squares. After our public school propaganda centers, we have the Unwashed (see the Seattle and Portland crowds----avoid their smell if possible).
