The law against treating a minor without parental permission covers everything EXCEPT “reproductive rights”, if I am not mistaken. At least, it’s that way in Illinois. Maybe it varies from state to state.
Thankful for your correction. I recall it now. My wife was still teaching school. I still lived in Plant City, Florida. There was a knock down drag out bar room brawl over it. A Liberal Judge decided id and the side I was on lost. The argument was this: Should a minor female be able to get an abortion without the parent’s knowledge or consent. The Judge said they could. He not only said that they could, but the school Guidance Counselor could either drive the child to the hospital themselves or from an approved list of volunteers, call someone else to drive the child to the hospital and return her to the school or take her home. The parents would never she had an abortion. Unless there were complications and she either lost her life or suffered severe injuries. I then thanked God I did not have daughters, because if that would have happened to a daughter of mine, I would have killed somebody, whether it was the abortion doctor, the Guidance Counselor, or the nurse who assisted the doctor.
