“CenturyLink suspends Kris Jacks after Project Veritas video goes public: “We recently became aware of comments made by an employee. We do not condone this type of activity and have contacted the appropriate law enforcement agencies. We have suspended the employee pending the results of an investigation.”

With pay no doubt.

Suspending an employee with pay pending investigation is a way to get them to peacefully leave the property by giving them a glimmer of hope that they will be able to return. Once they are off the premises they can be fired via email or phone.

If you had an employee who made these kinds of threats it's worth a day's pay to get them safely out the door.
