why are the parents of at least one of the team members so suspicious that they went on program after program talking about it?

Okay, which team members are you talking about? Are we talking about team members on 1) the raid to kill OBL 2) the "Sole Survivor" fight in Afghanistan, or 3) the attack on the compound and annex in Benghazi?

Because the only parent I read about in this thread was the father of Ty Woods, and Woods was killed at Benghazi after he'd left the SEALs. And Benghazi has absolutely nothing to do with a helicopter being shot down in Afghanistan, or the OBL raid.

So exactly which incident do you guys think you're discussing?

Maybe this will help some of these fellows out.

There are eight SEAL teams. Each team has six platoons and a headquarters element. SEAL platoons consist of 16 SEALs — two officers, one chief, and 13 enlisted men. A platoon is generally the largest operational element assigned to a mission.
