Trouble is, in cases like this, when you flatten the curve you also elongate the curve. So as the author said - the end result in terms of infections will end up pretty much the same. The difference is, we know better how to treat it, and now have more therapeutic options and more on the way it seems.

I am no MD but from what I’ve read up on the matter I agree. Seems what the worst cases needed was more oxygen in their blood because the virus was blocking the uptake of oxygen. Just pumping the lungs artificially gives very little help in the uptake of oxygen. Perhaps the inhaled steroids are the more effective means at the moment. Though I have hopes for other therapeutics that may stop or slow the virus and give the body time to create its own antibodies, or transfused antibodies to keep the virus in check before it overwhelms the system.
Too bad there are no antibodies for wrongheaded politicians.

if the democrats were not allowed to create more and more ways to suppress their opponents, I’d say Trump woulda won CA this go, but with the above, it’s gonna be really hard to get it. I see more Trump enthusiasm in Santa clara county then biden. I see Trump Billboards, one of our Freepers has been running Overpass rallies around here, getting 50 cars plus in the motorcades. As I see it from 1500 miles East, Trump has patiently requested states follow procedure and be proactive in fixing their own economies after decimating them. At that point, there can be a negotiation that includes sanctuary status and reviews actual success/failure of Governor’s policies and edicts.

Given the population exodus and the close watch on vote fraud & ballot manipulation, I’m expecting to see an increase in the California popular vote for Rs. It’s not feasible to expect anything to change the Ds winning in California as long as illegals and felons vote and ballot harvesting is legal.
