Exactly. I have far more credibility claiming I am a pro-environmentalist for Trump. The reason is simple-- countries with strong economies do far more to protect their environment than those without like, say, Venezuela, which used to be the richest country in Latin America. They don't eat zoo animals anymore because there are no more zoo animals.

Pick up an issue of National Geographic from the early 1990s when they visited countries in the Soviet orbit which had just throw off the yoke of socialism. They were all various degrees of environmental catastrophe.

What fixed that? Capitalism. The three which have done the best and are now popular tourist destinations are Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic. It is not a coincidence that they are the same three which did the best job of eradicating socialism.
