Exactly right beginning with President JFK who abandoned the Cuban soldiers stranded in the Bay of Pigs without the US support they were promised to overthrow Castro’s takeover. They were mostly slaughtered. I am originally from Miami and lived there the first 35 years of my life. I remember when Castro emptied his prisons out and sent them all to Miami. It was called the Mariel Boatlift 1980. They were living in tents everywhere and brought crime and disease, including some of the first AIDS cases known in the US. The good Cubans fled for their lives and actually ended up reviving Miami‘s economy which was experiencing economic difficulties.

Juan DeSosa from New Port Richey, FL was a true hero and one of the abandoned guys of JFK fame. I had the opportunity to get to know Juan and he was one of the best souls I’ve ever known and a true patriot. Read below at link:
