Here We Go: Pelosi Will Re-Unveil 'How to Remove a President Without an Election' Legislation Friday

Now we know what House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s bizarre 25th Amendment comments were really about.

During her Thursday press conference, Pelosi told media to come on back Friday to hear something regarding the constitutional amendment by which a president may be removed from office. Passed in the wake of President Kennedy’s assassination in 1963, the 25th spells out what may be lawfully done when a sitting president is deemed no longer fit to serve.

Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

The 25th Amendment to our august Constitution was never intended to be a partisan cudgel. It was intended to bring order out of chaos for a nation reeling from some tragedy.

But welcome to 2020, where literally anything can happen, and it usually does! We’ve nearly had World War III, we have had space aliens a couple of times, and we’ve had a deadly virus sweep the world and we’re all supposed to stay mum about where it came from while we stay locked up and watch our economy crash and burn. Well, mainly in the locked-up Democrat states. Red states that have reopened seem to be bringing more jobs back.

We have other means besides the quite serious and scary mechanisms of the 25th for removing presidents. They’re called “elections,”

I believe that I am correct that in 2016, the day following the election of Donald Trump as President, there was a columnist (Washington Post?) that wrote, 2 months PRIOR to Inauguration, "Let the Impeachment begin!" I do know that that eminent scholar, Whoopi Goldberg, opined as a permanent panelist on Disney/ABC's "The View" THAT MORNING; “We can kick his a** out,” Goldberg said on 9 November. “There is such a thing called impeachment.”

So, for the entire 4 years to date following Donald Trump's ELECTION, the opposition has sought endlessly to VOID the VOTER's CHOICE under the ACCEPTED US Constitution LAWS! He has been successfully IMPEACHED by the Democratic Party in the US House BUT NOT CONVICTED NOR REMOVED! [Note the dead silence from the same 'impeachers' when they accuse him of dereliction on Covid-19!] At no point in this time has he been free from legal / quasi-legal attacks. Not even Abraham Lincoln, leading the fight in a Civil War, has been so legally endangered.

Now, a month prior to this year's Presidential Election Day of 3 November, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, #2 in the Succession order, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (CA12-D), perpetuates this mania with this idiocy. UNREAL!
