Internal polling is showing him doing better. They just cancelled ads in Ohio and Iowa, for instance.

He would be willing to do a face-to-face debate and was expecting to, then the commission pulled this. Virtual allows answers on screens the camera won’t see. It’s just like at home school exams instead of at school, where teachers act as proctors.

This is also how he negotiates through positioning. Go further than the others would like and maybe get what you want or compromise someplace closer to the middle. If he accepts what’s been offered, only he made all the concessions.

It’s pretty straight-forward reasoning.

Trafalgar poll shows some positive movement for the Republican candidate for Senator in Michigan, suggesting the state is closing for Trump.

Trafalgar also has some bright numbers in a couple of other battleground states.

I agree with the assessment about Ohio and Iowa, he would never pull out of the states if he perceived any danger.

I have already suggested that he might be influenced by internal polling showing a surge for himself in the polls. Until we know more, however, I think we have to go on the assumption that he is fighting a deficit all as outlined By Real Clear Politics.

Didn’t know that about Iowa. Explains why I haven’t seen a Trump ad in a while.
