Government weasels use obfuscating language.
A number of Congressmen have requested an ‘investigation’. The bureaucratic response is to make an ‘inquiry’ (or some such) into whether an actual investigation is warranted. I believe they have to respond in such a way.
Whitewash is what will come of it, if that much.
