To my recollection, the last steroids I took was Prednisone. All Prednisone did was to make me extremely moody, tired and increased my appetite.

Prednisone is the steroid that I took as well. But, I was on a super high dose (100mg?) because I had severe inflammation that was life threatening. They immediately began a long tapering off, but I was euphoric on the mega high doses. On the lower doses, yes, it does make one moody, tired, and increases appetite, as you said.

My infection was aggravating and uncomfortable but not serious or life threatening, so I’m sure I was on a lower dose.
