I've had to be on them for my lower back on and off over the years and when I've taken them I felt like superman.

No kidding. A couple of years ago I was given a very high dose of steroids and, while on them, I was sleeping only 2 hours a night getting up at 2am and doing my regular computer job. In between, I was spackling walls, laying bricks, power washing my patio, cutting my lawn, and calculating Einstein's theory of relativity all in a typical steroid day. And, the grays in my salt and pepper hair turned back dark. Wish I could've stayed on that stuff forever!

I wish I had access to those steroids. I could definitely use the energy.

I’ve never heard of steroids making someone energetic and happy.

To my recollection, the last steroids I took was Prednisone. All Prednisone did was to make me extremely moody, tired and increased my appetite.
