The MAA is primarily a society for math teachers not for professional mathematicians. What I can remember of the publication it seemed to lean toward high school level teachers. If my perception is correct; that its very K12 oriented then the modern educrat establishment has enormous influence. This explains it’s ridiculous “wokeness”.
